Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have started this season with their opening match loss to Mumbai Indians by 6 wickets in the 2nd match of IPL 2026. • Heinrich Klaasen: Got 31 against RCB and didn’t even look like he was trying that hard. That’s what makes him dangerous. When he actually decides to go, the scoring rate does something ridiculous. KKR’s bowlers need a plan and they need to execute it early.
• Liam Livingstone: Thirteen crore rupees and SRH genuinely believe he’s worth every bit of it. Hits it a long way, bowls a few overs in the middle, gives the team flexibility most sides can’t buy. Literally.
• David Payne: Nobody was really talking about Payne before the season started. He came in as a replacement for Edwards and took 2 wickets in game one. Now people are talking. KKR’s top order needs to watch out.
