QTG
Quetta Gladiators (QTG) have had a tough ride in PSL 2026 so far. Three matches played, three losses, and sitting sixth on the points table with a net run rate of 0.093. They started the season losing to KRK by 14 runs, then went down to HRK by 40 runs before bouncing back with a win in the 5th match. But the comeback did not last long as they fell again in the 9th match against Islamabad United, losing by 8 wickets.
In that previous game against ISU, Quetta won the toss and chose to bat first. They posted 183/5 in 20 overs which looked decent on paper. Hasan Nawaz was the standout with a brilliant unbeaten 66 off 36 balls at 183.33 including 6 fours and 3 sixes, keeping Quetta in the game almost single handedly. Captain Saud Shakeel got them off to a solid start with 42 off 26 at 161.54, and Tom Curran chipped in at the end with 29 off 22 at 131.82. However, the middle order let them down badly โ Ben McDermott managed just 3 off 6 and Bevon Jacobs was out for a duck off the very first ball he faced.
With the ball it was a different story altogether. Abrar Ahmed was the only bowler who showed any control, picking up 2 wickets for 29 in 4 overs at an economy of 7.20. The rest struggled badly โ Ahmed Daniyal went for 42 in just 3.2 overs at 12.60 and Tom Curran leaked 39 in 3 overs at 13.00. ISU knocked off the target with 8 wickets to spare and barely broke a sweat.
Overall, Quetta need to stop the rot fast. The batting has shown glimpses but the bowling needs serious improvement. A win against Multan Sultans in the 13th match is crucial if they want to keep their PSL 2026 campaign alive.
Multan Sultans
Multan Sultans (MS) had been the form side of PSL 2026 coming into their last game. Back to back wins, ISU by 5 wickets in match 4 and HYK by 6 wickets in match 8, and they looked like nobody was going to stop them. Then Lahore Qalandars came along and did exactly that, beating them by 20 runs in a rain reduced 13 over game.
The bowling is what cost them. Sultans won the toss and put Lahore in, which felt like the right move at the time. It was not. Lahore battered them all around the park and finished on 185/5 in 13 overs. Ismail went for 47 in 3 overs at 15.70, Minhas leaked 22 in a single over at 22.00 and Akram was not much better with 31 in 2 overs at 15.50. Siddle was the only one who held his nerve, 26 in 3 overs at 8.70, but when everyone else around him is going for runs that does not matter much.
Chasing 186 in 13 overs was a big ask but the batters threw everything at it. Masood came out and absolutely demolished the bowling, 44 off 18 at 244.44 with 7 fours and a six. Turner did not hold back either, unbeaten 52 off 22 at 236.36, and Minhas knocked a quick 25 off 11 near the end. But 165/5 was not enough and 21 runs separated them at the finish.
One loss after a strong start is not the end of the world for this side. Turner is in ridiculous form, the top order can win games on their own and the team knows what they are capable of. They come into match 13 against QTG with plenty to prove and enough firepower to prove it.

QTG vs MS Key Players to Watch โ Match 13, PSL 2026
QTG
- Hasan Nawaz: The Green Cap holder and leading run scorer of the tournament right now. 138 runs at an average of 69.00 with back to back fifties including that unbeaten 66 against ISU. When Nawaz is at the crease Quetta look a different side altogether.
- Shamyl Hussain: Quietly been one of the most consistent openers in PSL 2026. 127 runs with two half centuries in his first three matches tells you he knows how to get in and build. If he and Shakeel get a solid start together Quetta have a real platform to work from.
- Abrar Ahmed: The one bowler in this Quetta attack who has looked threatening all season. Six wickets at an average of 14.50 and sitting second on the overall wicket takers list. On a good day he can win a match on his own and Multan’s middle order will have him on their mind.
- Saud Shakeel: 79 runs so far and the glue that holds this batting lineup together. Not the flashiest name on the scorecard but when he goes early Quetta tend to fall apart around him. His role against Multan’s pace attack will be critical.
MS
- Sahibzada Farhan: Second in the Green Cap race with 132 runs at 66.00 and an unbeaten century already on the board this season. He is the kind of opener who can take a game away from the opposition inside the powerplay if he gets going.
- Ashton Turner: 99 runs at a strike rate of 180.00 and he is only getting better. That unbeaten 52 off 22 in the last game showed exactly what he is capable of at the death. Quetta’s bowlers will need a plan for him and they better stick to it.
- Arafat Minhas: The most explosive batter in PSL 2026 right now. 76 runs off just 33 balls at a strike rate of 230.30 is the kind of number that keeps bowlers up at night. If he comes in with overs to go this match could get away from Quetta very quickly.

QTG vs MSU Match 13 Pitch Report โ Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
Gaddafi Stadium has been a batter’s ground all through PSL 2026 and the numbers back that up. The surface is flat with true bounce and the outfield is quick enough that decent contact is all you need to find the boundary. Average first innings score here is sitting around 176 to 180 but teams have been going well past that โ MS chased down 225 in match 8 and KRK knocked off 197 in match 10, so no total feels truly safe on this surface. Pacers might get a little movement early with the new ball but once that window closes the pitch only gets better for batting.
Spinners have had limited impact here though the middle overs could bring them into play if the surface dries out. Batting first and posting 180 plus is the benchmark at this ground but even that is no guarantee of a win.
QTG vs MS Toss Prediction – PSL 2026
Chasing has been the preferred option at Gaddafi Stadium all through PSL 2026 and Quetta will know that better than anyone after being on the wrong end of a chase in their last game. If Shakeel wins the toss he will not hesitate to put Multan in and back his bowlers to restrict them. We are predicting Quetta Gladiators to win the toss and elect to bowl first, looking to set up a chase and give their batting lineup something to chase down in the second innings.

QTG vs MS Today Match Prediction-Who Will Win today?
This one is tricky given the head to head record heavily favors Multan with 9 wins out of 16 but we are backing Quetta to turn things around here. Hasan Nawaz is in the form of his life, Abrar Ahmed has been the most consistent bowler in this attack all season and Quetta won the most recent meeting between these two sides. If Shakeel and Hussain get a solid start at the top and Abrar gets among the wickets early, Quetta have more than enough to get the job done. Our prediction is Quetta Gladiators to win the 13th match of PSL 2026.
