Team Preview and Performance
Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have started IPL 2026 on the front foot, picking up a convincing win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening game and currently placed third with a net run rate of 2.907.
SRH set 201/9 in 20 overs but RCB made short work of it, getting home in 15.4 overs with 4 wickets to spare. Padikkal was on a different planet that night, 61 off just 26 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes at 234.62, he took the game away from SRH almost single handedly. Kohli was the anchor alongside him, unbeaten on 69 off 38 at 181.58, the kind of innings where he makes it look far easier than it actually is. Patidar walked in at the death and finished it off with 31 off 12 at 258.33. Each batter brought something different and together they made a 200 plus chase feel completely one sided.
With the ball Duffy stood out straight away, 3 wickets on debut and a real handful for the SRH batting lineup throughout the night. Bhuvneshwar did not take wickets but he was hard to score off which on this kind of surface counts for plenty. Krunal and Suyash will be key against CSK in the middle overs.
That Kohli versus CSK record never gets old either. 1,146 runs, 10 fifties and 38.2 average in this fixture alone. Add David and Shepherd finishing at strike rates north of 170 and there is genuine firepower at every position in this order.
Defending champions heading into match 11 against CSK with form, confidence and a settled squad. Hard to see them slowing down anytime soon.
Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have had a nightmare start to IPL 2026. Two games, two losses, sitting at the bottom of the points table with a net run rate of -2.562. And they are doing all of this without MS Dhoni, who remains unavailable this season.
The first game against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati was bad. CSK were bundled out for 127 in 19.4 overs and Rajasthan knocked it off in 12.1 overs with 8 wickets to spare. The batting never got going โ Gaikwad managed only 6 off 11, Samson 6 off 7, and the middle order folded quietly. Jamie Overton top scored with 43 off 36 but that was nowhere near enough on a T20 pitch.
The second game at home against Punjab Kings showed some improvement with the bat. CSK posted 209/5 in 20 overs which looked competitive. Ayush Mhatre was impressive, 73 off 43 at 169.77, and Sarfaraz Khan came in and smashed 32 off just 12 at 266.67 to push the total along. Shivam Dube chipped in with an unbeaten 45 off 27 at 166.67. But the bowling let them down badly again. Punjab chased 210 in 18.4 overs and it was not even close. Priyansh Arya went absolutely berserk with 39 off 11 at 354.55, Shreyas Iyer made 50 off 29, and CSK had no answers. Matt Henry went for 54 in 4 overs, Kamboj and Noor Ahmad leaked runs throughout and 6 wides did not help either.
Samson and Gaikwad have not fired yet but both are capable of big innings. Dube at 152 strike rate at Chinnaswamy is a real threat against spin. Henry looks their best bowling option but on this surface he will need serious support from Kamboj and Khaleel Ahmed.
Two losses, confidence low and now facing the defending champions at their home ground. CSK need something to click fast with both with bat and ball, otherwise this campaign could get away from them very quickly.

RCB vs CSK Key Players to Watch โ Match 11, IPL 2026
RCB
- Virat Kohli: Over 9,000 IPL runs and still going. Kohli is in the Orange Cap race already and coming into this game on the back of an unbeaten 69 against SRH. CSK know better than anyone how dangerous he is โ 1,146 runs against them across the years says everything.
- Phil Salt: Salt and Kohli at the top together on the Chinnaswamy pitch is a frightening combination for any bowling attack. He sets the tone in the powerplay and if he gets going early CSK’s bowlers will have a long night ahead.
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Brought in for his experience and he showed exactly why in the last game. Controlled, disciplined and hard to score off even on flat surfaces. He will be key in managing both the powerplay and the death overs against CSK’s batting lineup.
- Rajat Patidar: Won them the title last season and leading the side again this year. His 31 off 12 in the last game at 258.33 showed he has not lost any of that hitting ability. A genuine match winner in the middle order.
CSK
- Ruturaj Gaikwad: The captain needs a big score badly. Two low scores from two games and CSK have looked shaky at the top every time he has not fired. Gets in and build or CSK are always under pressure.
- Sanju Samson: Came over from Rajasthan Royals and has not quite clicked yet but the talent is obvious. Chinnaswamy is a ground where batters can express themselves and Samson is exactly the kind of player who can turn a game around in six balls when he is in the mood.
- Noor Ahmad: CSK’s most dangerous bowling option in the middle overs. His wrist spin is hard to read and on a flat pitch where the pacers will leak runs, his four overs could be the difference between a defendable total and a massive one.
- Shivam Dube: Has a strike rate of 152 at this very ground and loves taking on spin. RCB have Krunal and Suyash in the middle overs and Dube will be licking his lips at that matchup. If he gets a good start he can completely change the shape of the innings.

RCB vs CSK 11th Match Pitch Report
Chinnaswamy is a batter’s paradise and everyone knows it. The surface is flat, the bounce is true and the boundaries are short enough that even a mistimed shot can disappear into the crowd. Pacers might get a little movement in the first few overs but once that goes the pitch only gets better for batting. Spinners will find it tough here given the small ground dimensions.
Dew in the second innings makes chasing even more straightforward, and RCB proved that in the very first game of the season when they knocked off 202 in 15.4 overs on this same surface. Anything above 190 to 200 is competitive here but on this ground no total is ever truly safe. Toss will matter and both captains will want to bowl first.
RCB vs CSK Toss Prediction โ Match 11, IPL 2026
Dew is expected at Chinnaswamy and both captains will have that in mind at the toss. Chasing has been the smarter option at this ground all season and CSK desperately need a win, so Gaikwad will not think twice if he wins it. We are predicting CSK to win the toss and put RCB in to bat first, back their bowlers to defend whatever is on the board and chase it down with the dew in their favour in the second innings.

RCB vs CSK Todayโs Match Prediction โ Who Will Win Today’s Match?
This is a tough one to call but we are going with CSK to take this. The head to head record tells the real story โ 21 wins out of 35 and CSK have historically known how to handle RCB even at Chinnaswamy. Yes RCB are in better form right now and the home crowd will be behind them, but CSK have match winners all through their line-up and a point to prove after two straight losses. If Samson and Gaikwad finally click together at the top and Noor Ahmad gets among the wickets in the middle overs, CSK have more than enough to get the job done. Our todayโs IPL match prediction is CSK to win the 11th match of IPL 2026.
